Garden Beautification - Oceana Garden Club - Saturdays

Oceana is a 55+ community in Oceanside.  Residents are excited and passionate about gardening but could use help with the heavier and more labor intensive tasks.

Project Details:  Groups may be asked to pull weeds, spread mulch, cut back brush and dig holes or trenches.  Some volunteers may be pushing wheelbarrows full of mulch, so some heavy lifting might be required.  General help needed beautifying the Oceana Community Garden.

Days: Saturday mornings

Time:  Saturday 8 – 12pm

Location:  3751 Vista Bellla, Oceanside 92057

Bring: insect repellent, gloves, shovels, sunscreen, water

Recommended attire: work gloves, pants, tennis shoes and hats

Tools or materials be provided? They have some rakes, shovels and wheelbarrows, but if you have rakes and shovels to bring, that would be great.

Child Friendly? At this time the location is not suitable for children because of coyotes, snakes, sharp objects, rusty wire, etc.
