Rehabilitation/Therapy Garden at Scripps Encinitas Hospital, 1-4pm, Shift #2

Project Description:   Help refresh and update the rehabilitation/therapy garden at Scripps Encinitas Hospital.  The garden is used for patients who have sustained brain injury through strokes or accidents & for their families.  Patients have long stays in the rehabilitation unit and the garden is a place for therapy and to spend time with their family.  Currently the garden is in need of repairs.  The plan is to replace rotted planter boxes used for patient therapy, remove and replace old plants, put in a fountain, replace the arbor and remove old bark and replace with rock.

Bring:  Work gloves and any garden tools you can bring

Provided:  Water and snacks provided for volunteers

Date:  Project will a span over two days March 10th and Sunday, March 11th with two shift per day.  Please check the date/time you sign up for.

Child Friendly?  Sorry, this project is not child friendly.  Due to the flu outbreak, children are not allowed to help with this project, per hospital request.
