Downstown - Residence for Down Syndrome Adults
Downstown is non-profit organization with a series of residential homes in North County for adults with developmental disabilities, such as Down syndrome. Each household has 5-7 residents and a house manager.
Downstown was founded in 1984 and has since grown into a 6-home community. The organization’s mission is to encourage public understanding of persons with developmental disabilities and maximize the residents’ potential for community involvement and independence.
***Special Note: Due to the size of the homes, we are only able to accomodate groups of 12 or less. If your group has more than 12 people, please do not sign up for this project. Thank you for your understanding.
