Bring Dinner to Operation Hope Shelter

Meal Project:  Help is greatly needed to provide meals throughout the week for the single women and their children living in this shelter.  To-go meals can be purchased from a restaurant or grocery store deli.

Dinner Time:  Order take-out and deliver it by 5:15pm.  The meal is served at 5:30pm.  Upon arrival and check in at the front office, you will be directed to the kitchen.  By registering for this project, you are signing up for this date.

How much to bring?  Bring enough for ~28 people.   We encourage good nutrition, so when possible, please bring vegetables and proteins.

Drinks:  Please bring a plant based milk with your meal and 1 case of water bottles.

Easy meal suggestions:  Click Here!

Can we make the meal at home? Unfortunately, no.  Food regulations dictated by the California Health and Safety Code have changed the way food is served. The meal must be purchased from a restaurant or commercial kitchen/deli and delivered.

What else should I bring?  Paper products are always greatly appreciated: paper plates, bowls, napkins, cups, forks, knives, spoons and serving utensils. Dessert is optional, however a fresh fruit salad is very popular.

When is dinner served?  Arrive by 5:15pm to drop off the food.  At this time, three (3) people are allowed to stay and serve the food.  If you or someone in your group would like to do this, please contact Nicole in advance at [email protected]

Monetary Donations:  The money will go towards preparing meals at the shelter.  If you’re able to make a one time donation, click here!
