El Corazon Habitat Restoration, Oceanside, with Preserve Calavera - (3rd/Sat/mo)

*Group sizes are limited to nine (9) people in order to stay within Covid guidelines.  Children are included in the head-count.  First come, first serve on a reservation basis.  Please make sure to bring a mask and gloves.  

This project works to help restore the habitat and trail area of El Corazon in Oceanside.  Work includes removal of invasive plants primarily, with some planting of natives.  Work sessions are held the third Saturday of each month from 9-10:30 am.   ****This project is conducted rain or shine!****

Date:  3rd Saturday of the Month

Location:  Exact meeting location will be email after registration.  The El Corazon restoration area is along Mesa between Rancho del Oro and El Camino Real in Oceanside.

Bring: Work gloves or gardening gloves, hats, sunscreen, snacks & water.  Please bring a mask and gloves due to Covid.

Wear: Full length pants and shirts, closed toed shoes or work boots.

Who:  This project is great for groups or individuals.  Volunteers must register in advance and will be emailed a waiver and “Covid guidelines” prior to the project date.

Children:  This project is not ideal for young children.  Children need to be 12yrs+ and supervised by an adult.  A liability waiver needs to be signed either on the day of the event with guardian present.  Waiver can be obtained via contact in advance.
