Game Night at Alta Vista Senior Living
About: Alta Vista Senior Living (formerly Vista Village Senior Living) is a senior home for 66 residents located in Vista off the 78 Freeway. The home loves to integrate different generations and allow them to work together, while the residents absolutely love to participate in activities. Groups of any age are welcome. Totally family friendly!
Game Night: The residents LOVE playing BINGO every Thursday night! There is a BINGO set available for you to use. There are typically 8-10 residents that will gather for evening activities. They love to socialize and play games. Be prepared to have fun but please be flexible as there are different cognitive levels amongst the residents. A small prize such as a candy, chocolates or something fun from the “Dollar” store as prizes are a huge hit. They love to win prizes.
Optional idea for large groups (>12): If you have a large group, we may break you up between the two wings of the home: Assisted Living and Memory Care. The Assisted Living side loves to play BINGO (as noted above), but the Memory Care residents love crafts. Your group may prepare a very simply craft for the residents. Please plan a project that is not too complicated and is suited for the memory care residents. The simpler, the better! Bring all materials that might be needed for the craft such as: paper, glue, safety scissors, paint, paintbrushes, etc. Bring enough to share with your group and the residents. Choice of craft project is completely up to you. CRAFT IDEAS.
Arrival: We ask that at least one member of your group arrives by 5:30pm to be directed to the “Activity Room.” One of the staff can lead you to the Activity Room and allow time for set up. The rest of the group may arrive between 5:45pm-6pm to start the game night.
Access Inside the Building: The receptionist leaves at 5pm, but upon arrival, ring the doorbell and a staff member will open the door for you. Or, you may call this number when you arrive: 442-204-2403, and someone will be right with you. This number is also posted under the doorbell, located to the right of the entry door. Alternate number to call: Rachel at 760-717-0551.
Number of Children: If you plan to bring your children, please indicate the number and age of children in the “comments” box upon registration.
Team Leader/Questions: Rachel Boschman, 760-415-1256, [email protected]
NOTE: In an effort to not overwhelm the residents, no more than 12 adults and 12 children to attend. Thank you for understanding.
