Preserve Calavera is an organization that leads environmental stewardship project in the Rancho La Costa Preserve. They conduct native habitat restoration, invasive plant removal, native garden maintenance, general beautification and native seed collecting and sowing.
Project: This special project will continue the long term restoration project in Carlsbad- planting 100 native plants. This is Phase 2 of the grassland restoration. If you attended last year during Phase 1 you will be amazed at the difference!
Date: Sat. Dec. 3rd
Location: Rancho La Costa Preserve in Carlsbad – exact address and parking details provided after you RSVP.
Bring: Work gloves or gardening gloves, hats, sunscreen, snacks & water.
Wear: Full length pants and shirts, closed toed shoes or work boots are recommended.
Waiver: Volunteers must register in advance via the website and will be emailed a waiver.
Child Friendly: Yes! This project is family friendly and children are included in the head-count. However, children under 18 need to be supervised by an adult and will need a liability waiver signed either on the day of the event with guardian present or (if no guardian is present the day of) printed, signed, and brought to the event.
