About: Villa Rancho Bernardo is a skilled nursing facility located in San Diego. The facility provides compassionate skilled nursing 24 hours a day.  This project is family friendly.

Ice Cream Social Project: Bring joy to this senior community by hosting an ice cream social. This fun and engaging event will not only provide a delightful treat but also offer a wonderful opportunity for social interaction with this special community. This project is ideal for small groups of 3-5 or a Life Group. If you are an individual with the means to purchase all the items, we welcome you, but recommend bringing some friends or family to join.  We ask that you provide all the items needed for an ice cream social.

Bring: Bring enough ice cream to serve ~30 seniors and don’t forget to include toppings like brownie bites, sprinkles, fruit, mini recesses peanut butter cups, chocolate sauce, caramel or whipped cream. Don’t forget to bring a few ice cream scoopers and paper towels for messy hands. Please do not bring nuts as they are a chocking hazard.  We suggest about 6-7 half gallons of ice cream to serve 30 individuals.

Provided:  The facility will provide the spoons and bowls for serving.

Time:  1pm – 2pm, Saturdays

Arrival: When you arrive at the property please sign in at the front desk and let them know you are from North Coast Church.  You will be directed to the location for the ice cream social.

Alternative:  Once the weather gets cooler, cookies and hot chocolate will be a great substitute for ice cream, but please make sure no nuts.  The residents also love sing-alongs with young children or a simple craft.  If you have a desire to set up a different activity, please make a note in the comments field upon registration.
