Living alone can be tough for seniors. Some don’t have family nearby to check on them, thus a weekly call, free lunch, grocery delivery or a ride to the doctor’s office can be such an important service. It can help them remain independent in their homes and give them and their family members peace of mind. Following are a few ways North Coast has partnered with organizations in the community to serve our seniors.
Carlsbad Senior Center – Make Toiletry Kits: Toiletry kits will be given out free to the seniors who are coming to the center to receive a free lunch.
Foundation for Senior Care – Fallbrook: They are providing emergency services during the Covid-19 Crisis to seniors 65yrs+ who are disabled and immune compromised living in the Fallbrook, Bonsall, Rainbow & De Luz areas. They are in need of having groceries delivered, transport to doctor’s appointments, check-in calls and homemade cards made. Click on the link below to view all their projects.
Seniors on the Go – Oceanside: Become a volunteer driver to serve the senior community in Oceanside. Seniors on the Go is Oceanside’s Transportation Program, which provides Oceanside residents 65 years of age or older with multiple transportation options! Currently, there is a HIGH need for home meal deliveries. Click on the link below to view complete details about this project.
Create a Blessing Bag for a Senior: Include a few treats and/or a puzzle book and drop them off at one of the partner senior homes listed below.
