What is it?

Serve Your City is a church-wide campaign designed to spread God’s love through serving.

Week 1: GIVE (donate financially)

Week 2: SERVE (participate in community service projects)

Week 3: LOVE (intentionally show love to someone in your life)

When is it?

Each week focuses on serving our community in one of three intentional and practical ways:

Week of April 11: GIVE financially

Week of April 18*: SERVE on a project

Week of April 25: LOVE someone

*Note that most in-person service projects will take place April 24-25.

For 2021, donations of at least $21 for each adult helps make Serve Your City possible!

Your donations will help serve and love our non-profit partners and people in the community over the next two weeks and beyond! No matter what your circumstances, any amount helps and is appreciated.

We’re excited to see our whole church serve their community in whatever way is comfortable for you. Here are some great options for you to choose from! 

Participate in a local community service project with your Life Group, your family, or on your own.

Do you have experience in a skilled trade (i.e. carpentry, construction, painting, etc.)? Let us know!

LOVE

Intentionally show love to someone in your life

“Love Week” is about more than a good deed, it’s about loving people with an intention.  We saw Jesus do this throughout his time here on earth (Matt 9:9-13, John 4:7-42) where his influence started with going out of his way to love people.  We have the same opportunity to influence people today.  Whether it’s reaching out to a new neighbor or inviting someone to church, love week is our opportunity to bring people closer to Jesus by radiating His love.

To start, ask God, “Who in my house, neighborhood, city, work or school would you have me reach out to?” Remember to earn the right to be heard by building relationships and trust first. This sets up influence and openness to hear more about your faith.  For Love Week ideas click here.
