Habitat Restoration - Preserve Calavera - Carlsbad

*Group sizes are limited in order to stay within Covid guidelines.  First come, first serve on a reservation basis.  Please make sure to bring a mask and gloves.  

Preserve Calavera is an organization that leads environmental stewardship project in the Rancho La Costa Preserve.  They conduct native habitat restoration, invasive plant removal, native garden maintenance, general beautification and native seed collecting and sowing.

Project:  Volunteer to help care for a native plant garden and prep a new site for future restoration.  Volunteers will help with watering and invasive plant weeding as well as whatever else is needed.  ****This project is conducted rain or shine!

Date:  2nd Saturday of the Month

Location:  End of the cul-de-sac near the address, 7506 Gibraltar Street in Carlsbad, CA.

Bring: Work gloves or gardening gloves, hats, sunscreen, snacks & water.  Please bring a mask and gloves during the Covid Crisis.

Wear: Full length pants and shirts, closed toed shoes or work boots.

Who:  Great for groups or individuals.  Volunteers must register in advance and will be emailed a waiver and “Covid guidelines” prior to the project date.

Child Friendly: Yes! This project is family friendly.  However, children under 18 need to be supervised by an adult and will need a liability waiver signed either on the day of the event with guardian present or (if no guardian is present the day of) printed, signed, and brought to the event. Waiver can be obtained via contact in adance.
