About:  Alabaster Jar’s mission is to provide housing and resources for women who have survived human trafficking and sexual exploitation. They are a nonprofit 501(c)3 and comprise of Grace House, a long-term residential program; a Resource Center, a drop-in center that provides clothing, toiletries, programming and peer support groups.

Project:  This project encompasses a complete backyard landscape renovation.  Volunteers will be spreading bark, mulch, gravel and rocks in specified areas and installing succulents and plants.  If you enjoy gardening, planting, weeding, mulching and don’t mind getting a little dirty, this project is for you.  It will be an amazing transformation.

Meet:  Volunteers will meet at Alabaster Jar’s Resource Center and be shuttled to the project site.  Address is 120 N Ash Street, Escondido CA 92027.  It is the building on the left side of the parking lot of The Foundry Church.

Volunteers:  25 individuals needed with no previous experience. 

Skilled Volunteers:  Looking for two skilled people experienced in installing landscape materials (decomposed granite and mulch) and planting or bedding plants.  If this is you, register here.

Wear:  Long pants, closed-toe shores, work gloves, hat, sunblock and a North Coast shirt if you have one.

Bring:  Work gloves, water, transfer shovels, round point shovels, or landscape rakes.

Child Friendly: Children 16+ yrs.  Children need to be supervised by an adult at all times. Please include the number of children 16+yrs in your head count when you register.
