
About: Alta Vista Botanical Gardens fosters involvement of the community in efforts, both local and abroad, to protect and preserve endangered habitats, which are vital to the health of our planet and all of her inhabitants. It is a place to reflect, relax and recharge. The gardens are a living, changing and interactive environment which brings people together with nature and art. It serves as a gathering place, and educational center, a forum for the arts and an exhibit of the most remarkable, beautiful and rare plants in the world.
Project Details: This project includes weeding & brush removal, raking & grooming of trails & paths, tree trimming & removal of limbs & branches, sealing of Mosaic signs. Also, building an Entry Kiosk.
Bring: Work gloves/rubber gloves, hats, mask, water, snacks, sunblock. Also, shovels, rakes, wheel barrows, & other gardening tools. Bonus, if people have a truck trailer to help move debris from one side of property to another.
Wear: Masks and appropriate clothing for the project. Long pants and closed-toed shoes are encouraged. If you have Serve Your City shirt, please wear it! They can be purchased at all North Coast campuses during weekend services.

Child friendly? Yes. Children need to be supervised by an adult at all times. Please include number of children coming in registration.
