
Join “I Love a Clean San Diego” for a litter clean-up! Coastal Cleanup Day 2018 involves over 100 cleanup sites in San Diego County. The event’s reach doesn’t stop here. Coastal Cleanup Day is celebrated across California as well as all 50 states, and held in over 150 countries worldwide.
Duties: Pick up trash and beautify the community!
Location: 650 Sycamore Ave., Vista, CA 92083
Directions: Directions from Highway 78 Exit Sycamore Ave. Drive one block south and park in the Burlington Coat Factory parking lot. The creek runs along Sycamore Ave and Shadowridge Dr.
Special Instructions: Site has portions with steep stream banks and dense vegetation. It is suggested volunteers have sturdy boots, long pants, and dress for conditions
Provided: All cleanup supplies, trash bags and water provided. This is a great opportunity for students and families to learn ways to protect our local environment!
Volunteers are encouraged to bring their own reusable items such as water bottles, work gloves, and buckets to promote zero waste practices and help to have a zero waste, litter free and environmentally engaged San Diego region!
All volunteers are required to fill out a waiver form to participate and anyone under the age of 18 needs a waiver signed by their parent or guardian.
It is important to register for this event so they know how many volunteers to prepare supplies for at each cleanup site.
