Comfort Cubs – Prep and Package Teddy Bears for Someone Grieving-Jan 2024

We are undergoing some maintenance. Registration is temporarily offline. Please check back in 1-2 hours. We apologize for the inconvenience.

Project Description:  Help prepare Comfort Cubs.  The Comfort Cub is a specially weighted therapeutic teddy bear and is intended to simulate the comfort of cradling a newborn. This weight can help alleviate physical aching in the body brought on by Broken Heart Syndrome or grief.  Volunteers will help with prepping, tagging appropriate notecards for future recipients, and repackaging of the cubs.

Location:  The project can be done in the comfort of your own home. The project manager will bring all the necessary supplies to your project location and stay to train you on how to correctly prep and package the bears.  At the end of the project, she will take all the packaged bears with her.

*Note:  If you have pets, the project will need to be done at the project manager’s house in Carlsbad (for allergy reasons).  Address provided later as needed.

Date:  The date is flexible.  Your group and the project manager will need to coordinate a date that works best for both parties.  The project manager will be copied on your registration and will be in touch to set up a date after registration.

Needed:  Please prepare a few open tables as workstations for this project.

Group Size:  This project is ideal for groups of 10-20 people.

Project Manager:  Gracie DelMar, [email protected], 760-216-4163.
