About: Felicita Vida is a senior home located in Escondido that loves to integrate different generations and allow them to work together. Groups of any age are encouraged to attend, especially families with children! This project has shown to have a positive impact on all those involved.
To Do: Groups are asked to prepare and host an activity. You may lead a simple craft, game night, book-read, musical sing-a-long or dessert social. There are two wings at Felicita Vida, one in the main wing (Assisted Living) and another wing for memory assisted residents (Generations). Please plan for your group to split up between the two wings in order to participate with residents in each wing.
Activity: Choice of activity, craft or game is completely up to you. If you choose to lead a craft, please plan a project that is not too complicated and is suited for all generations in addition to the memory care residents. Residents love decorations they can hang on their doors, or functional crafts like decorated tote bags for wheelchairs. There are some ideas below but feel free to get creative.
Materials Needed: Might include paper, scissors, glue, decorations, etc. Bring enough to share with your group and the residents. If interested, click on this link for suggested CRAFT IDEAS.
Nice But Not Necessary: If a few members are able to arrive 15 minutes early, you may go upstairs and socialize with the seniors while they finish supper. At this time you can remind them of the event in order to get more interest in your craft project. Also, it’s enjoyable just to interact with them.
Number of Children: If you plan to bring your own children, please indicate the number and age of children attending upon registration.

NOTE: In an effort to not overwhelm the residents, please no more than 12 adults and 12 children to attend at one time. Thank you for understanding.
