Green Oak Ranch - Trail Management (Shift 2)

Please note: this project is now FULL and occurs April 24, 1-5pm.

About: Green Oak Ranch is a 140-acre camp and retreat site and drug and alcohol recovery center. They are a 501c (3) who helps transform local lives by hosting retreats and providing a 9-month, Christ-centered residential recovery program.

Project Details: This project includes cutting back some brush and reshaping the trail from the Chapel to the Observation Desk. This project involves some skill with basic tools. Goal is to provide campers a clear and safe access to a unique place on the Ranch, the Observation Deck and Prayer Rock.

Bring: Work gloves/rubber gloves, hats, mask, water, snacks, sunblock. Also, bring manual gardening tools like hedge loppers, picks and shovels because there is no power in the area of the ranch.

Wear: Masks and appropriate clothing for the project. Long pants and closed-toed shoes are encouraged. If you have Serve Your City shirt, please wear it! They can be purchased at all North Coast campuses during weekend services.

Meet: After you enter the property, volunteers will be directed to the main dining hall, which will be on your right about 200 yards from the main gate. There will be a greeter and a check in table. From here, volunteers will be dispersed to their project site.

Child friendly? Yes for children 12 years and older. Children need to be supervised by an adult at all times. Please include number of children coming in registration.
