Sleep in Heavenly Peace (SHP) is a group of volunteers dedicated to building, assembling and delivering top-notch bunk beds to children and families in need. No kid sleeps on the floor in our town!®. A typical bed build event consists of an assembly line of key stations in order to make volunteering easy for all ages. There is a miter saw cutting station, sanding station, headboard assembly station, and branding station. The beds are partially assembled during the build, while the final assembly takes place inside the family’s home. This is where the magic happens! The children are able to sleep in their very own bed, which makes such a positive impact on their lives. All the work done by Sleep in Heavenly Peace is done by volunteers, but there is a cost to build the beds. The average bed costs $250.oo, which includes the lumber (at a discount from Lowe’s), mattress, sheets, comforter and a pillow.
Monetary Donations: You may donate Lowe’s gift cards, cash or check.
