Natural Preserve Restoration Project: Assist in preserving and enhancing the rural character and natural beauty of the area by helping protect the open space. There are several projects that are in need and locations may change throughout the year. Work may include moving rocks, trimming vegetation, cleaning out culverts, planting, trail maintenance, trash pick-up, etc.
Day: 1st Saturday/Month
Number of People: In order to comply with social distancing guidelines, this project is limited to a max of 5 people during the Covid Crisis.
Time: 8am-10am
Location: The current focus is Monserate Mountain Preserve. Meet at the Monserate Mountain Trailhead (https://goo.gl/maps/C15kZPLZY2tLE4sVA)
Bring: Work gloves, garden clippers, water, hats, sunscreen and snacks. During the Covid Crisis, please bring a mask and gloves as well.
Wear: Closed toed shoes and long pants/long sleeves are highly recommended.
Number of People: This is a great opportunity for small groups of five or less, individuals, families and children. Children must have parental supervision.
