Rising Tide Ranch - Impact Project - Apr 23 - AM Shift

About:  The Rising Tide Ranch is a Christ centered, men’s only, sober living ranch.  While you don’t need to be a Christian to reside there.  They believe in a holistic approach to restorative recovery based on body mind and spirit with an emphasis on spirit.  They believe in the 12 step principles of AA, NA and Celebrate Recovery and believe that recovery is possible when worked with a good program!

Project:  This project encompasses the following:

  • Build animal pens
  • Build and paint a chicken coop
  • Build and paint a fence
  • Weed and mulch the orchard
  • Weed, mulch and plant flower beds
  • Build a greenhouse (hoop house)

Parking:  Parking is limited.  Rising Tide Ranch is located on the corner of Osborne and Guajome Lake Road, right behind North Coast Church.  Please park in the southern corner of the North Coast Church parking lot and walk over to the ranch.  Rising Tide Ranch Address: 2207 Guajome Lake Rd, Vista, CA 92084

Meet:  Upon arrival check in with a project leader and he/she will direct you to your project location. Bring your completed waiver!

Volunteers:  100-150 non-skilled volunteers per shift, child/family friendly 6+yrs.

Skilled Volunteers:  Also looking for 10-15 skilled professionals in fence building, chicken coop building or hoop house/greenhouse building.  If this is you, sign up HERE!

Wear:  Long pants, closed-toe shoes, work gloves, hat, sunblock and a North Coast shirt if you have one.

Bring:  Any gardening tools you may have, such as landscape and leaf rakes, loppers, pruning scissors/saws, shovels, push brooms, work gloves and water bottles.

Child Friendly:  Children 6+yrs and older.  Children need to be supervised by an adult at all times.  There will be specific jobs and work areas for younger children.  Please include the number of children in the comments box at registration.

Waiver:  Please print and sign the waiver and bring a completed copy with you on the project day.
