This is a Serve Your City Project.   This project is FULL, but if you have already registered for it, please make sure to deliver your kits by  April 25th, or as soon as possible.

About:  North Coast has partnered with several retirement communities that offer assisted living and memory care to their residents.  During these are unprecedented times, the homes are limiting access to their family members and the community, and thus they need more activities to keep them engaged.  We want to love and honor this special and unique community by providing a little gift that will surely uplift their spirits and give them a fun project to complete.  Vista Gardens is a family-owned and operated Memory Care Community located in Vista, California.

Project Details: Create a Spring Gardening Kit!  Gardening has many health and therapeutic benefits and it allows seniors to take care of something, which helps them cultivate a sense of self-worth.  Create an individual gardening kit with the suggested items.

Suggested Items:  Include a small pot(s) (4″ – 8″), seeds or seedlings, gardens gloves, small watering can, small hand shovels and bag of soil.  The potted plants will be kept in various places throughout the garden and common areas outside. 

Pack into:  A dollar store basket, sturdy reusable grocery bag, or a basket.    

Child Friendly? Yes, get the entire family involved.

How Many Kits? Make any amount that fits within your budget, 1-25+  Please just let us know when registering how many you plan to make.

Drop off days/times: Monday-Friday 8am-4pm  

Drop off details:  Ring the bell at the front door and the receptionist will meet you outside to accept your gift.  Make sure to let them know you’re from North Coast Church. 

Registration:  Please make a note in the “comments” box upon registering with the number of gardening kits you plan to make.
