Love spending time outdoors? Working with your hands? A great way to make a difference in the community is to help Ivey Ranch in Oceanside with their Grounds Beautification. Activities include general gardening and beautification of the their grounds and garden plots, including clearing weeds/debris, constructing planters, planting, cleaning, trimming trees and bushes, painting and clearing bridle trails of tumbleweeds. Ivey Ranch Equestrian Program, Select Saturdays, 1pm-2:30pm – Oceanside
Looking to serve? Enjoy animals? Ivey Ranch Park is a care and recreation center for people with and without special needs. Their primary operation is horse-riding therapy for people with a range of disabilities and special needs. Volunteers help this program through horse care and client support. There is no horse experience necessary! You will be taught everything you need to know. After orientation has been completed, they ask for a 6-week minimum commitment.
