Craft Kit: Create a thoughtfully assembled craft kit for the guests to enjoy on their Wednesday Craft Nights. Each kit should encompass all the essential materials and tools to ensure a fun evening for their guests. Plan for 15-20 kits.
Crafting Ideas:
- Art Kit: Drawing paper or canvas, nice pens or colored pencils, watercolor palettes, brushes.
- Seasonal Kit: Tailored for St. Patrick’s Day or spring/Easter themes, the kit includes themed craft projects and necessary supplies.
- Succulent Kit: Mini pots, real or artificial succulents, plants or seeds, dirt or floral foam, and mini shovels if using dirt.
- Bingo Kit: Provide a snacks and prizes basket for a Bingo night.
- Baking Kit: Provide slice & bake cookies or ready to scoop cookie dough. Include frosting and sprinkles for decorating.

Welcome Packs: Create a “Welcome Pack for the guest at the San Diego Rescue Mission Navigation Center in Oceanside. This will ensure that every guest is welcomed with essential items.
Please include:
-Reusable water bottle (most important!)
-Lip balm
-Fingernail clippers
-Hairbrush or comb
-Chocolate or mints
-Beanie
-Welcome note*
*Include a vibrant/colorful “welcome note” with an encouraging Bible verse and a short message like “keep going” or “you can do this” on the flip side.

Serve Dinner: Serve dinner for the men, women and children at the San Diego Rescue Mission 30-day emergency shelter. Food is provided but ideally, your group will supplement the meal with something like a pre-packaged salad or pizza. The SDRM will be able to make suggestions for your group, but this is not a requirement. Please wear comfy, modest clothing and closed-toed shoes, and the lovely “required” hairnets that will be provided. Bring a water bottle, smiles and an open heart. No training necessary and no photography please.
