Meal Project: Help is greatly needed to provide meals throughout the week for the single women and their children living in this shelter. To-go meals can be purchased from a restaurant or grocery store deli.
Dinner Time: Order take-out and deliver it by 4:45pm. The meal is served at 5pm. Unfortunately, groups will not be able to stay and serve the meal at this time, and will only be able to drop it off in the kitchen. By registering for this project, you are signing up for this date.
How much to bring? Bring enough for ~26-30 people. A more accurate number can be given the week of your dinner service. We encourage good nutrition, so when possible, please bring vegetables and proteins.
Drinks: Please bring 1 gallon of milk and 1 case of water bottles.

Can we make the meal at home? Unfortunately, no. Food regulations dictated by the California Health and Safety Code have changed the way food is served. The meal must be purchased from a restaurant or commercial kitchen/deli and delivered. Volunteers will not be able to serve the meal at this time, you will simply drop the meal at the shelter.
What else should I bring? Paper products are always greatly appreciated: paper plates, bowls, napkins, cups, forks, knives, spoons and serving utensils. Dessert is optional, however a fresh fruit salad is very popular.
When is dinner served? Arrive by 4:45pm to drop off the food.
Monetary Donations: The money will go towards preparing meals at the shelter. If you’re able to make a one time donation, click here!
