El Corazon Park Habitat Restoration, Oceanside, with Preserve Calavera - (3rd/Sat/mo)

*Group sizes are limited to nine (9) people and children are included in the head-count.  First come, first serve on a reservation basis.  Please make sure to bring work gloves.*

Project Details:  Volunteers will be weed whacking in the natural habitat areas of this future park in the heart of Oceanside.  This is physical, outdoor work. Children are welcome but need to be supervised by their parent or another adult.  This project works to help restore the habitat and trail area of El Corazon in Oceanside.  ****This project is conducted rain or shine!****

Date:  3rd Saturday of the Month

Location:  El Corazon near Mesa gate. Full details of meeting location provided with RSVP.  The El Corazon restoration area is along Mesa between Rancho del Oro and El Camino Real in Oceanside.

Bring: Work gloves or gardening gloves, hats, sunscreen, snacks & water.

Wear: Full length pants and shirts, closed toed shoes or work boots.

Who:  This project is great for groups or individuals.  Volunteers must register in advance and will be emailed a waiver prior to the project date.

Child friendly 6yrs+:  This project is family friendly for children 6yrs+.  It is not suitable for younger children.  You will be working on steep slopes using hand tools to remove heavy duty weeds.  Children are included in the head-count.  Children under 18 need to be supervised by an adult and need a liability waiver signed either on the day of the event or prior if no guardian will be present the day of. Waivers can be obtained via contact in advance.
